I’ve got to give some props to my mom right now. Until this
year, I’ve never really had to go grocery shopping for myself. Back when I
still lived with my parents during the school year, they would make me go out
and grab a couple things from the store, and I always thought that was bad. And
I’d have to go on a trip to the grocery store with my mom every once in a
while, but I never really put too much thought into the trips other than, “how
can I get mom to buy this?” but now I actually have to get food for myself, and
I never knew what kind of work and skill it requires. I feel like I’m always
going to get food from the store and I can never get a good variety (I always
feel like I’m eating the same things,
especially by the end of the food). And I need to do extensive recipe research
to figure out what food I need to buy to make certain things, and until now
I’ve never noticed how good my mom is at all of this. Not only does she manage
to find really good food, but for a long time she was doing it for six people
(right now I only shop for one) and she finds such a remarkable variety of good
and healthy food, not to mention she makes it seem easy. Thanks mom.
So Scott Thought.
